Move over LOL – there’s a new collectible unboxing craze in town! Blume Dolls are set to be the must-have toy of the Summer and judging by my 3 year old’s reaction when she opened the one we were sent to review, I can see why!

What Are Blume Dolls?
“Surprise” toys are always a hit with children – whether it be finding out if you have a rare Pokemon card in your pack (my son’s current obsession!) or working out which LOL Doll you have from the clues as you unwrap. Blume Dolls are the latest surprise toy and they’re my favourite so far!
As with all surprise toys, the opening and unboxing is an activity in itself and with Blume Dolls this activity is even more hands-on and exciting – the dolls actually do bloom, and they literally pop out of a flower pot in front of your eyes! You open the initial wrapping on your flower pot to find a watering can. You then fill the watering can with water and sprinkle the water evenly over the top of the pot. Within seconds, your doll will emerge to excited gasps…even my 7 year old son was excited! (See video below) The first view you get of your doll is her crazy hair-do: from rainbows to pineapples, cupcakes to seashells – each hair-do is wonderfully outrageous and gives you a hint as to which doll is blooming. You can then open the pot, which contains a fab outfit and accessories and can be decorated with stickers and turned into a play-set/storage.
Blume Dolls‘ hair and clothing is interchangeable, so you can mix and match hair and outfits. There are 22 Blume Dolls to collect in Series 1 with 4 different rarities: adorable, rare, super rare and mystical. My daughter was lucky enough to get a super rare doll, Cleo, who is very cool with her troll-like squishy black and blue hair with purple flowers, purple glittery shoes, dalmation-style coat (reminiscent of Cruella de Ville!) and cute mini friend. It’s safe to say that Blume Dolls are already a big hit our family and I’m sure Cleo definitely won’t be the last to enter our household!
Where Can You Buy Blume Dolls?
All major toy stores will be stocking Blume Dolls but if you live near Kingston-upon-Thames you can head to the Entertainer Toy Store on Saturday 27th July for an unveiling event with YouTube influencers, Ruby and Bonnie, and Entertainer Stores up and down the country will be joining in, with an official unboxing at 2pm on the same day.
Our Blume Dolls Verdict
If you’re looking for one of the hottest toys of the year then look no further than Blume Dolls. We predict that they’re going to be very popular! They’re super-cool, brightly coloured, tactile and fun & I was also pleased to find that there wasn’t too much packaging used so they’re pretty much mess-free and there’s not too much wasted plastic! And, at only £10 they won’t break the bank and are relatively cheap in comparison to other collectible toys. They come highly recommended from the Typical Mummy family!
